Project Description

The Saskatchewan PNP program offers the following pathways to permanent residence in Canada:

  • International Skilled Worker: Express Entry

  • Farm Owner and Operator

International Skilled Worker – Express Entry

This is for workers who wish to live and work in the province. You need to be in the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Express Entry Pool, and meet certain criteria.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Have job experience in an occupation not on the excluded list.
  • Score a minimum of 60 on the points assessment.
  • Meet language test requirements.

International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer

For workers who have an offer for a skilled job in the province.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Meeting the official language proficiency.
  • At least one year of experience in your chosen occupation within the last 10 years.
  • Have a full-time, permanent job offer.

International Skilled Worker – Existing Work Permit

For workers who have been working in the region for at least six months legally.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Be eligible for a license if your occupation is regulated.
  • Have a valid job approval letter.
  • A permanent, full-time job offer with an occupation type of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘O’ or a designated trade.

Semi-Skilled Agricultural Worker

For workers who have worked in the region for at least six months.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Being either a General Farm Worker or a Nursery and Greenhouse Worker.
  • High School Certificate
  • Meet the minimum language proficiency.

Health Professionals

For skilled workers who have been working for six months in a full-time position.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Holding a temporary work permit as a health professional
  • Meet specific certifications for your position.

Students

For students who have previously completed a recognized post-secondary certification.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Having worked for a minimum of 6 months in the province.
  • Valid post-graduation work permit.
  • Meet the minimum language score.

Hospitality Sector Project

For foreign workers currently employed on a temporary work permit.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Working in the following categories: Food/Beverage Server, Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper, or Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff.
  • High School Certificate.
  • Meet the minimum language score.

Long Haul Truck Drivers

For foreign workers currently employed on a temporary work permit.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Working in the following categories: Food/Beverage Server, Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper, or Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff.
  • High School Certificate.
  • Meet the minimum language score.

International Graduate Entrepreneur

For international students that are graduating from a local institution.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be in possession of a valid Post-Graduate Work Permit, with at least 2 years left before expiry
  • Meet the minimum language score.

Entrepreneur

For those who wish to start, own, or partner in a business.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Meet the minimum net worth of $500,000 (CAD)
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant experience within the last 10 years.
  • Meet the minimum investment requirements depending on your location.

Farm Owners and Operators

For workers who have the required experience, capital, and intent to buy and run a farm.

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Meet the minimum net worth of $500,000 (CAD)
  • Make a research visit to the region for at least 10 working days.

Documented farm knowledge and experience.
